Sophie Charalambous has been announced as the winner of the Jerwood Printmaking Today Prize 2020 by Anne Desmet RA. Speaking about the selection of this year's winner, Anne Desmet RA who chaired the judging panel revealed:
'Although choosing the overall winner of this year’s prize was hugely difficult as each of the five shortlisted artists’ works shared impact, originality, technical innovation and a great deal of individuality and personality, the panel were unanimous in their decision to award the Jerwood Printmaking Prize 2020 to Sophie Charalambous for her monoprint, Comings & Goings, 2019.'
The winning print will be exhibited at the Rebecca Hossack Art Gallery until 30 August 2020.
